I work with writers on essays, longform journalism, and creative nonfiction — particularly work rooted in place, travel, and the environmental humanities. Good editing is cartography: it helps a reader find their way through your terrain.
Developmental Editing
Big-picture feedback on structure, argument, and voice. Best for drafts that exist but aren’t quite working yet. Includes a detailed letter and marginal notes.
Line Editing
Sentence-level work on clarity, rhythm, and precision. I’ll push your prose toward its best version without flattening what makes it yours.
Manuscript Consultation
A single in-depth conversation about your project — where it is, where it wants to go, and how to close the gap. Good for writers who need a thinking partner more than a red pen.

I’m most useful to writers working in creative nonfiction, lyric essay, place-based writing, environmental journalism, or any hybrid form that takes landscape seriously as subject matter. I’m not the right editor for fiction, screenplays, or academic writing.
